SENTINEL Introduces Westchester County's
First Affordable SMART Homes

Sentinel exemplifies what it means to be ahead-of-the-curve introducing Westchester County’s First affordable SMART homes.
These homes were built during Sentinel’s Union Lane Restoration project, blending local talent of the community, and innovative modern SMART home technologies. Sentinel’s dedication to affordability for residents, produced SMART homes at approximately $400K each, being the first SMART homes of its capabilities to be established in Westchester County at this price point.

These affordable SMART homes feature cutting-edge modular/pre-cut construction, as well as the introduction of advanced network communications and multi-level redundant back-up systems.

Examples of these back-up systems include; if phone lines were compromised, satellite communications roll over into primary lines; and if those two fail, wireless technology will maintain voice connections.

SENTINEL Begins The 3rd Street Initiative
(SENTINEL renovated buildings along 3rd Street in Mount Vernon, NY)
Sentinel received commission from the Mayor of Mt. Vernon to lead the federally funded revitalization of the 3rd Street corridor; leading the venture, Sentinel effectively produced detailed plans and surveys for store front facade renovations.
Sentinel served as the General Construction Company, initiating the relocation of WestHab's first major offices and training programs on 3rd St. and 1st Avenue.

Additionally, This restorative process was the redevelopment of over 10 building facades, spanning from south 5th avenue to south Columbus avenue.

SENTINEL Develops Franklin Crest Condominiums

Sentinel acted as the developer and general contractor for Franklin Crest Condominiums;
using joint financing partnerships with Westchester County HOME funds and private equities.

These homes are purposefully placed among mid-luxury market rate houses, following through on Sentinel's promise of adding to the diversity and growth of the community.

This establishment provides seniors with a clean, safe and comfortable environment while allowing them to remain independent.

SENTINEL's International Trade Agreement
In 2012, Sentinel established an international friendship and trade agreement with

SENTINEL Vocational Apprentice Training
With a continuing focus on integration and creating opportunities for the community, Sentinel established (SVAT) Sentinel Vocational Apprentice Training; A NYS 501c-3 recognized development workforce initiative designed to train the under and un-employed.
SVAT uses a 3-part program that includes, mentorship, vocational training, and career development.

SVAT is a green-technology centered school, training workers with the skills for carpentry, masonry, electrical, and plumbing expertise.

SENTINEL's 1st LED Instillation

In 2014, witnessed by Senator Ruth Thompson; Sentinel made a historic installation of LED light fixtures in Mt. Vernon High School.
Resulted in a major reduction of the carbon footprint, number of lights needed, and total wattage used within the office by 60%.

This endeavor also informed and educated 1st year vocational trainees for practical application in LED lighting.

QFI Commemorates Tuskegee Airmen's First Call to Combat on June 2nd, 1943

On the date of June 2, 1943, the 99th Pursuit Squadron (Tuskegee Airmen) had their first deployment seeing their first combat in assisting the Allies in securing the Italian island of Pantellaria. Famously known for their protection of bomber crews that carried 12-15 men aboard. The Airmen's exemplary and world class service for their country led to their continued national prominence, being known as the Red Tail Angels.
One of the main figures of the historical Tuskegee Airmen was the late great Lt. Colonel Lee A. Archer; who was a resident of Westchester County and an avid supporter and friend of

Lt. Colonel Archer was known for successfully neutralizing a total of 9 enemy aircraft's while on a mission from Budapest to Bratislava with the 332nd Fighter Group.

SENTINEL’s Fundraiser for SVAT Academy
Attracts Corporate Giants
Sentinel continues to make progressions in advancing the educational opportunities provided to the community by hosting a fundraising gala in graceful and elegant fashion for the SVAT Academy. This fundraiser took place at the private and prestigious Bronxville Yacht Club beginning with an impressive cocktail hour that was enjoyed by over 200 guests. The variety of these guests ranged from local business owners, municipal workers, government officials and multi-million dollar corporate executives all in accordance to support this great cause.
Leading the parade of corporate giants was Gensler, represented by Joseph Brancato. BRP who was represented by Geoff Flournoy and Meredith Marshall; as well as representatives from
New York, Hudson Valley Bank and MassMutual Financial Group a fortune 500 Company. |
The joint alliance brought together Global Insurance giant MassMutual; International Architecture and Planning firm Gensler, New York City Real estate firm BRP, and the largest commercial bank, New York, Hudson Valley Bank. All taking an active role in the local GoGreen Work Force Initiative by Sentinel.

SENTINEL And Mount Vernon Representatives Attend The United Nations for Gwanju's
May 18th Democratic Uprising Anniversary

Sentinel made a historic visit to the United Nations in New York City to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the May 18th Democratic Uprising in Gwanju, South Korea. Sentinel demonstrated dedication and compassion for the Great People of South Korea; to date there has only been 2 other countries to have such similar historic accounts read-in to the official UN records. This convocation provided the opportunity for nations globally to come together and seek political and historical common ground in the wake of the democratic uprising of 1980.

United Nations Delegation Attends Historic Gwangju

(Distinguished members of the Korean delegation that attend the 1st and only exhibit in the U.S. on the same day of the minutes being read into history at the United Nations.)
Sentinel welcomed Gwanju, South Korea representatives to the Mount Vernon Public Library to commemorate the historic reading into the notes at the United Nations of the May 18th Democratic Uprising. Given Mount Vernon's historic role in the advancement of a free press and democracy in colonial america, this was the golden opportunity to commemorate in accordance with the historic bravery demonstrated by the citizens of Gwanju on May 18th, 1980. This reception honored and paid reverence to the victims of the May 18th democratic uprising while also creating the opportunity to expand the international relationship between Gwanju and Mount Vernon.

Sentinel created the opportunity for Mount Vernon to build an international relationship with an economic powerhouse in the far-East of the World.

SENTINEL's Foreign Exchange Scholarship Opportunity for Mount Vernon Students & Teachers To Study In South Korea
In 2017, Sentinel made a huge leap of advancement in creating opportunities and revitalization for the community by initiating an International foreign exchange agreement between Baruch College of New York City and Chonnam National University of South Korea. This agreement created a pipeline for inner-city students and teachers to participate in an inter-cultural learning environment.
This historic signing coordinated by Sentinel; was accompanied by Baruch College Provost and Sr.Vice-President Dr. David Christy.

This agreement was created for students and teachers alike; giving them the opportunity to enhance foreign language, intercultural skills and establish friendships with local students at leading academic institutions.
